This is particularly horrific because so many people think that antitrust serves a legitimate function. They've been taught to believe that big business is evil and that government will (somehow?) save us, though they have little if any understanding of the antitrust laws. I remember in 2011 when the DOJ stopped AT&T from buying T-Mobile. In the comment section of a WSJ article, someone expressed his approval because he hated AT&T. This is what antitrust laws facilitate - hatred, envy, power lust. Whether a merger or purchase is a good idea will be addressed by the market. It is not an area where government should have any role whatever.

We need to stop allowing our workers in the government to commit these rights violating crimes.
