The more I read Darwin the more I understand just HOW much time he spent dissecting barnacles, experimenting with worms… it’s the Darwin we often forget.

About 100 million years ago, this little alga swallowed a bacterium... and never let it go. This is only the fourth time in Earth's entire history such a merger has happened.
