The news is how it's being memory-holed by conservatives so entranced by Epstein and secular leftists entranced by new "progressive" popes, all operating on the same forgiveness premise that led to the crisis in the first place. I'm sure the Catholics have found ways to clean up the worst of their dirty laundry. But this has probably happened for many centuries without fundamental reform (which would require giving up whole chunks of Catholicism, including also celibacy).
